NOEL BRADY
EXHIBITIONS
June - Aug 2019, Rockhampton Regional Art Gallery, Rockhampton.
More than merely graphic tablets, toys or tools, playing cards are cultural imprints that reveal popular customs and peculiarities. In Clockwork Royals, Noel used available materials or “bricoleur” to masterfully recreate their classic lines, form and design.
Dec 2018 - Jan 2019, Rockhampton Art Gallery, Rockhampton
Noel was among a number of local artists invited to participate in Preserved - an accessible art exhibition which took the classic fete bottle stall to another level. The remit's only requirement was that all works could pack into in a jar or bottle and sell for less than $50.
2012-13 : Artslink Queensland exhibition. Two years touring regional Qld.
Noel's Re-tuning the Goanna solo exhibition was part of the Queensland Arts Council's touring exhibition program for 2012 and 2013. His exhibition of mixed media wall panels and sculptures was hung in regional galleries around the state.
Sept-Oct 2010: Rosalie Gallery, Goombungee, Queensland.
Joining fellow Emu Park artists, watercolourist Lyn McClelland and naive painter Bob Stack, Noel took his intricate sculptural pieces south-westward to the creative hub of the Goombungee and the former Rosalie Shire just outside of Toowoomba in south Queensland.
